New Moon in Capricorn + Partial Solar Eclipse

January 5th, 2019

Happy New Year! While astrologically the new year doesn't mean much, it does provide a tangible check point with our intentions. In numerology, which adds up all the digits in the year to make one single digit number that can dictate the general energy of the year, 2019 is considered a “3 year” (2+0+1+9=12, 1+2+3). A “3 year” is considered the Universal Year and asks us all to creatively approach new endeavors with unity, harmony, and overall well being for all in mind. Most importantly, this year is asking us to really upgrade our humanness in all ways by highlighting our communication skills, our ability to emote, have compassion, and treat others the way that we ourselves want to be treated. Basically, this is the year of the “Golden Rule” and exactly what you give is what you will get in return.

This year, we are starting off with a magic event, a New Moon in Capricorn and a Partial Solar Eclipse, both lining up with the day that Uranus finally goes direct. Uranus governs the grand plan of our lives while a New Moon is a new beginning and any kind of eclipse ushers in transformation.

So with all of this in mind, what are your goals for this New Year?
What do you want to cultivate and grow?
Where do you want to focus your energy?
What is your gift to the Universe?


Once you know the answer to these questions you can begin taking action to turn your dreams into a reality. And how you get there is entirely unique and personal to you. For this first ritual of the year we want you to find that for yourself with the guidance of the 2019 Lunar Phases and your very own unique Geode...

Materials:

• Your Rose Water Face Toner spray
• Your premium crystal - “Break Your Own” Geode
• Protective eyewear and footwear
• A safe space with a hard surface (ideally outdoors) to break your geode
• A hammer
• Dreamy Moons Lunar Phases Card by Annie Tarasova
• Your planner or journal for 2019
• House of Peace Nomadic Tea Sachet

Steps:

1. Close your eyes and cleanse your energy and the energy of your space with a little spritz of Rose Water to your eyelids, face, neck, and around your aura.
2. Make yourself a cup of tea to sip on throughout your ritual and keep you tea bag, you can rebrew one sachet up to 3 times.
3. Put on your protective eyewear and foot wear.
4. Set up any protective padding or cleaning supplies you may need to break your geode, ideally outdoors.
5. Give it a couple light taps with the hammer until you see it crack open and then toss it at the ground or hard surface of choice and see what shine emerges!
6. Hold the pieces, seeing how no two are the same and appreciating the unique hidden gem that has found you!
7. Reorganize your space to make it cozy, clean and comfortable.
8. Get out your planner or journal and your Lunar Phases Card.
9. Mark the days that stand out to you on the card and match them in your planner or journal, writing in full detail all that you plan to accomplish by that date and choosing one daily action you can take between now and then to make it happen.
10. Don’t hold back, fully dream and express yourself as if all that you desire is already yours, there is no way to do this wrong.
11. What would it look like, feel like, be like? Write it all on all the dates of 2019 that inspire and align you with your resolutions, intentions, and visions for this Universal Year.

The Capricorn and Solar Eclipse influence that fall on this first New Moon of 2019 highly ripen the opportunity for a true new beginning, meaningful change, and much needed growth -- take advantage of it. Spend as many hours, days, or weeks as you need this first month of the year to really clarify, crystallize, and synchronize yourself with the natural phases that are coming up. By riding this wave of energy you are setting yourself up to go with the flow of the Universe to accomplish absolutely anything you desire, especially because Capricorn is known for their tenacity and resilience. Take your time, the whole Universe is on your side!

Full Moon in Leo + Total Lunar Eclipse

January 21st, 2019

We made it to the first Full Moon of 2019! And we all probably are feeling intensely all the feels with what a year it has already been. Eclipses always go that way which is why it’s best to keep it light, simple, and centering for this Leo Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse. Revisit the intentions set at the New Moon to keep transforming for the better, for the more positive, for the righteous, truthful, authentic, humble, and meaningful things in life to find their way into our interactions.

For this Ritual we will return to our planners or journals from our New Moon Ritual and check back in with our intentions, sealing in the mindset we will carry with us throughout the year. Leo Full Moons are always a powerful moment to ask ourselves what we truly stand for, fight for, and live for and its most important to remember that it doesn't have to be complicated to be meaningful. In fact, the more simple and thought out the better. Go ahead and gather your supplies to begin...

Materials:

• Incense tray
• Sacred Elephant Incense from last month’s MoonBox (or your own if you didn’t get last month’s box, we recommend Nag Champa)
• Dreamy Moons Lunar Phases Card by Annie Tarasova
• Your planner or journal for 2019
• A blank piece of paper and any decorative markers/paint/stickers etc.
• Soul Revival Nomadic Tea Sachet
• Your Citrine Crystal

Steps:

1. Set up a sacred space or altar for your incense tray with any other crystals, divination cards, or symbols that set the mood for this powerful Full Moon in Leo.
2. Light your incense just enough to see the flame for a moment and then blow it out so that the smoke can fill the space and burn down the stick slowly as you revisit your planner/journal.
3. Place your citrine crystal on the tray, with the point facing north.
4. Make yourself a cup of tea, keeping the sachet again so you can rebrew it up to 3 times as you journal.
5. Read through what you wrote on the New Moon and add to it.
6. Think about how it felt to take that daily action you promised yourself you would take to work towards your goals. Notice how it makes you feel, any difference in mindset, motivation, or self expression and write it down as well.
7. Take the time to really understand WHY you’re doing what you’re doing and what it means to you.
8. Anytime you feel yourself sway mentally towards self-doubt or fear, take a deep breath in, a deep breath out, and remember the WHY behind your goals and intentions for this year.
9. Write that down too. Placing a why statement next to each goal in your planner/journal will solidify your connection to it mentally, emotionally, and spiritually so you can continue to approach this natural evolution that is the first Eclipse Season of the year with purpose and grace.
10. When you are finished with this process boil down all that you have thought through this month into one personal mantra you can repeat to yourself every morning for the rest of the year. It can be a variation on the ones we have already provided or it can be completely your own.
11. Once you have it, repeat it until you have it memorized by heart and write it down on another piece of paper, decorating it any way that inspires you and place it by your mirror where you brush your teeth in the morning.

Now that you’ve successfully made it through the first month of 2019, ask yourself again, how to do you feel? The whole point of these introspective rituals during Eclipse Season is to inspire you to step into your power and grace with courage and clarity. Sit in meditation for a couple minutes and see in full color all the things that you’ve written to really seal it into your imagination as a complete possibility. If you can think it you can be it, if you can see it you can create it. Channel the inner brave Leo that lives within each of us and harness this Total Lunar Eclipse as a transformational moment to align you with all that is to come in the future, abundantly and gratefully.
