New Moon in Leo with Partial Solar Eclipse
August 11th, 2018
Welcome to August, Moon Lovers! Our theme for the month is MANIFEST, and we all know this doesn’t happen overnight or in one fell swoop. Manifestation takes diligent, careful, repetitive, and intention work. So! This month we are starting this off with a daily, month long ritual! Start of today, August 1st with your ABC’s of Happy Cards and journal anything that comes to mind with the first word - Acceptance. (If you don’t have the cards from the MoonBox, choose your own word from A-Z to write about everyday). Do your best to commit to doing this everyday for all 26 cards so that by the time you get to the Full Moon in Pisces on the 26th, you’ll be able to do a full review of all that you have worked though in your journal.
On the 11th day of the month, we will have an epic checkpoint - the New Moon in Leo & Partial Solar Eclipse, in the year 2018, whose numbers add up to 11. The numerology of this day brings up an auspicious moment of mastery and knowledge. A New Moon is always a fresh start, an opening into a new direction. Coupled with the Solar Eclipse and under the stars of Leo, this particular day may arguably be the most powerful day of the year to set intentions into motion with courageous and bold action. With this in mind we have planned a movement ritual to charge the fire in your belly with bravery and confidence followed by breathwork to continue to feed your inner flame of personal passion and power.
Moon Clip Hair Pin
Your Lunar Cycle Tapestry
An open space
A cushion, bolster, or comfy seat for Pranayama (breathwork)
Your favorite song and a speaker
A pen and paper or a journal
Collect your supplies and choose a song to use for this ritual.
Lay out your tapestry somewhere within eyes view and place any other items around it that remind you of your own strength.
Set up your space for open movement and turn your music on.
Hold your pineapple calcite in your left hand, close your eyes, and begin to move to the music, releasing all inhibitions and truly let yourself “dance like nobody's watching.”
Start to shake off your limbs, your arms, your legs, your head, your whole body like you’re trying to get something off of you.
Imagine any doubts, fears, or uncertainties dripping off and dissolving into the Earth - that’s what she’s meant to do, take our stale and outdated energies and transmute then into a supportive base for fertile growth.
Do this wholeheartedly until you feel you’ve shaken off all the scaries and can feel the positive energy rushing through your body, stemming from your belly or Solar Plexus - your power center.
Turn off the music.
Take a seat (cross legged or kneeling) with a tall spine, sitting up against a wall if needed and pull your hair back with your Moon Hair Clip.
Place your hands facedown over your belly with your crystal between your palms and body.
Close your eyes for two types of Pranayama.
Begin with “Breath of Fire,” which is a deep inhale into the whole of the body followed by sharp, fast paced, exhales through the nose, after which the inhale happens naturally, pumping the belly to expel any additional stale energies.
Do this for 30-60 seconds with the eyes closed.
Breathe in deeply through your nose and then open your eyes and your mouth wide, sticking your tongue out to your chin and looking up towards your third eye. This is called “Lion's Breath.” Let it roar through you as many times as you need.
When you are finished, feel how you have awakened your inner power. Continue to practice your daily journaling ritual as the month continues. Remember, you are entirely capable of manifesting anything your heart desires, all you have to do is be disciplined, focused, and POSITIVE. There’s no need to doubt yourself or fear what may be. All that you desire lives just on the other side of your doubts and fears. This is why we shake them off and give power to our goals and the musings behind them instead. When your write, write freely. When you dance, dance freely. When you breathe, soak up every sip of air and give it back freely because that is how you breathe your inner world into your outer reality. What will be, will be.
Full Moon in Pisces
August 26th, 2018
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac wheel and the Full Moon marks a culmination moment after a period of build up. This can take the form of a release, a celebration, or grand finale in some way. Pisces also symbolizes the yin and yang, or necessary balance between the dualities of light and dark, masculine and feminine, spiritual and material. Practice something today that truly makes you feel balanced and harmonious within your own body and with those around you. This Full Moon is the perfect opportunity to take the time to really contemplate on where and how you’ve been using your energy over the past 26 days.
For this Full Moon Ritual, go back and reread what you wrote everyday for the last 26 days with your ABCs of Happy prompt cards. Once you’ve read through it all we will begin another journalizing exercise to clarify your priorities and the intentions behind them.
Mountain & Sea Bath Bomb
Pisces Full Moon Candle
ABC’s of Happy Cards
Your pen and journal or paper from the New Moon and Daily Rituals
Peacock Ore & Blue Quartz crystals
Light your candle
Lay out all of your cards in any order or shape that allows you to see each card in front of you.
Reread your journal entries from the last 26 days and reflect on how those days went.
Write down 10 things over the last 26 days you “didn’t have time for.”
Now say them outloud to yourself, replacing “...because I didn’t have time” with “...because it wasn’t a priority.”
Notice how you feel after you say each one and cross off the ones that TRULY are not a priority.
If you say one of these statements and the truth is that IT IS a priority, make time and add it to the top of your list.
Clarify the top 3-5 priorities you’d like to dedicate the final days of August to.
Rewrite them a third time stating them as affirmative, present tense, intentions.
Lay back and meditate with your crystals, placing your peacock ore between your brow, or Third Eye and your blue quartz on your Throat.
Envision your intentions coming to life before your closed eyes and your open spiritual eye (yes, the third one!) in real dream time.
Think of this Pisces Full Moon as the spiritual gateway to meld your dreams into reality. See it all and feel it all. With every word you write you are gaining more clarity and insight in the thoughts behind your thoughts, uncovering the truth behind what you really want to manifest in this one wild, short, sweet, and precious life. Whatever it is, make sure you take the time to really let yourself dream it up and dream it big. Most of all, remember to be yourself as you do this - everyone else is already taken. Your path is yours for a reason so let yourself create it exactly as you see fit.
Asha stepped into her first yoga class at the age of 16 as a form of physical therapy after sustaining a spinal injury. This ignited a passion to share the emotional and physical healing she found with others. She believes that the physical and emotional bodies are linked and can be accessed through movement and breathwork. She has taught an integrative blend of Restorative, Hatha, and Vinyasa flow classes since 2009. Following her intuition, Asha’s embrace of her talents and skills grew to include energy work, sound healing with Quartz Crystal singing bowls, and guided meditation. The path of holistic and intuitive healing is a lifelong journey and Asha is dedicated to always deepening and expanding her knowledge.
