This tea was crafted in Saturn, offering the structure of presence and balanced strength. I wanted to bring you awareness that is often gained within the decision to release. I have designed this blend for you to have the stamina to ready yourself with the ability to EMBRACE the rhythms of the Universe, but also recognize them within your own being - allowing GROWTH. May it be a tool, to help you to infinitely REFLECT your power back into the world FLOURISHING in all that you do knowing you are not alone - but an able component of a Universal Energy System.
Chrysanthemum Flowers: Structural in nature and spirit, this little flower is the perfect embodiment of Saturn’s capable ruler-ship. Offering a delicate beauty and hearty flavor in its wake, Chrysanthemum has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine to help improve the flow of Chi. From inspiring glowing skin, to improving vision, soothing inflammation and even strengthening bones, this flower’s structure seems to benefit nearly every area of the body. It also has been abundantly used in clarifying the liver functions and breathing passages. She is a cooling component within our blend.
Hawthorn Berry: Sun ruled, I included this berry for Hawthorns traditional use in the Gaelic celebration of May Day or Beltane (MAY 1st-the half way point between the spring equinox and summer solstice). Typically, the May Pole, representing the turning axis of the wheel and fertility, holds a crown that descends the pole that is often constructed with Hawthorn Branches and Blossoms. While the flower often holds more spirit related properties- the berry is deeply entwined with the physical functioning of the cardio vascular system. Due to its high antioxidants, it’s been known to be helpful for blood flow and protecting the vessels themselves against damage through improving increased oxygenation. Delicious, bright and fruity these berries have a delightful uplifting quality that is full of Vitamin C.
Lemon Balm: This is a Fruits to the Roots, ‘favorite’ herb, used like a true “cure all”! Often refer to it as Melissa, Lemon Balm is a hearty leaf from the mint family that holds a very nurturing and calming effect. This herb has been helpful in stimulating digestion, improving sleeping disorders, relaxing a worried mind, relieving muscle spasms and cramping as well as a long-time beauty and skin care ingredient utilized for its rejuvenation qualities. If there were only 7 herbs I could keep in my cabinet- this would be one of them. An herb ruled by Jupiter, it has the balancing effect of keeping one feeling collected and in control. Think of this ingredient as the element that ties the rest together and helps them to function more clearly.
Dandelion Leaf: This is an amazing plant where every component (root, leaf, flower, stem) is edible, and therefore has a long history of medicinal use within several cultures and traditions. The leaf is full of nutrients including an array of vitamins and minerals like iron, zinc, and magnesium. Dandelion greens have been proven to contain more Vitamin A than carrots and even more potassium than bananas! Often the leaf is eaten sautéed, or blended raw into smoothies but personally I adore the more delicate flavor and benefits that come through a tea. Traditionally you see the leaf used to help stimulate healthy urination- therefore supporting healthy kidney function. Overall, most herbal practitioners find this plant as whole to be an invaluable ingredient for herbal care! Its strong ties to the digestive system strongly associate it with Jupiter.
Milk Thistle: This delicious little seed is packed full of incredible abilities. It gets its name from improving milk production in nursing mothers but is more widely known for its benefits for the liver. For centuries, it has been used to help absorb a number of toxins within the body, as it has a unique ability to absorb and release toxins. This beautiful skill allows more protection from disease, disorders, and has even been seen to help reverse negative effects on the liver from prescription drugs as well as the negative effects of chemotherapy when taken within a 72hour time frame. I adore it for its helpfulness in fighting free radicals (keeping the skin vibrant and younger looking). Ruled by Mars, these seeds are fiercely fueled to fight against toxic buildup.
Ashwagandha: While all the herbs in our blend contain a number of effective and miraculous traits, I wanted to add this traditional Ayurvedic herb for its ability to mentally inspire the minds cognitive components to FLOURISH. Known for its adaptogen qualities- Ashwagandha is beneficial for balancing stress by reducing cortisol levels. Being of the Sun, this herb helps to keep your energy levels in a place of mental alertness without feeling jumpy or wiry. A warm and courageous herb to cuddle upto, or catapult you into your day feeling clear and confident.
